I am always hungry. Every 2 hours I have to eat something...anything. Sometimes I let 2 hours turn into 4 and I am so hungry by then I have a headache and feel very dizzy. My mom has had a thyroid problem since she was a teenager but never wanted to take meds. Now at 47 going through menopause, her thryoid is a lot worse. She won't even take meds for her menopause. She's very holistic minded. My point is I never realized I may have a thyroid problem until reading your story and just finding out about my mom. The coolest thing is I actually know you and how great of a person you are. It is awesome that you have this site! Best of health!

Just wanted to say I think this site is great! I too have Grave's Disease and was diagnosed when I was 19. I was also diagnosed with Hypoglycemia. It has been a upwhirl battle for me. Some days I'm tired and I still hav eto eat all the time. I guess you could say my meds are regulated but I still get the palpatations. It just nice to know there's a site out there with people that are going through the same thing and that are my age.

Hi! I just wanted to tell you how wonderful it is to see a site that is trying to gather support for thyroid disease. I, too, have Grave's. I was 26 when I was diagnosed and told that unless we figured out how to get my heart rate slowed and the thyroid out, I had between 6 months and a year to live. It took 3 months before I was healthy enough for surgery. Radioactive stuff wasn't even an option. It just wasn't fast enough. Best guess is that I'd had it for years and never knew.
Now it's 2 years later and my meds are (finally!!) balanced and I'm losing weight and dealing with low blood sugar. :) Sound familiar?
Anyhow, if you want to chat about anything, feel free to e-mail. You're doing a wonderful thing to help raise awareness. If I can help with anything, please let me know.
